When asked why she wants to be a part of TE-03, Sandra replied, “Because I can!” She is an avid hiker and is experienced in rappelling. Sandra has reflex sympathetic dystrophy with arthritis and walks with a cane and leg brace. She also has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and believes that completing the challenging trek to Mt. Everest base camp will enable her to conquer her internal blocks and fears.

Sandra is a retired veteran of the US Navy and founder of the Kenny Murgia Scholarship award. She lives in Austin, Texas.
